OST Indicators

OST indicators are comparative, robust and normalised. They enable users to compare and track the performance of R&D actors (an institution, a country, or other). They cover the areas of:

  • human resources,
  • expenditure for research and development,
  • scientific and technological production (publications and patents),
  • collaborations.

These indicators are destined for use by policy analysts and decision makers in R&D, at various levels, including laboratories, institutes, agencies or government ministries.
